- מַעְבְּרָאm. (עֲבַר) ford, ferry. Targ. O. Gen. 32:23 מַעְבַּר constr. ed. Berl. (oth. ed. מַעֲבַר).Yeb.106a, v. מַעֲבּוֹרֶת. Ḥull.95a Ar. (ed. מַבָּרָא). Ned.27b פסקיה מ׳ the ferry cut him off, i. e. there was no ferry to take him over. Ib. מ׳ מיגלי אונסיה the accident of missing a ferry can be foreseen.
